End of Day

The 5th Series – Day 1 ended today at 4:02 pm

It is 41 degrees and feels like 35. Wind is NW at 7 to 10mph with heavy gray clouds in the sky.

Tonight the temps are going down to around 28 degrees, so it will be another cold start in the dark for tomorrow!

Day 2 of the 5th Series will commence tomorrow morning, after Test Dogs are run at 6:15 am.

91. FC-AFC GUNSTOCK’S WIN CHESTER, “Chester,” YLM, Danny Farmer

Danny and Chester came to the line at 3:53 pm

LF – Quick hunt – Nice!

RF – Pinned it!

LR – Up the middle of the field and got very deep – worked it out!

RR – Bam! Straight in to the cover for his bird!

90. FC-AFC JIMAVICHE’S HOLLANDAISE JAMMER, “Jammer,” BLM, Kenny Trott

Kenny and Jammer came to the line at 3:45 pm

LF – Out to the area, turned left then right and then he got it!

RF – Great angle through the stubble – pounced on his bird!

RR – Through the middle field to the blind, down the hill, back up and then down again to the bird!

LR – Came in left of the blind, turned right to the bird.

Handle 87. FC-AFC TUCQUAN’S BEAUTY BEHIND THE MADNESS, “Bella,” BLF, Hunter Street

Hunter and Bella came to the line at 3:27 pm

LF – Excellent line to the bird!

RF – Over ran by 1 cover strip – quickly back to her bird.

LR – Up the field – under the arc of the throw and right to her bird.

RR – Took the heavy cover on the way out, angled off to the left and got deep behind the LR station, had to be handled back to the bird.


 

Handle 88. FC SEASIDE’S MOJO MOXY, “Boots,” BLF, Craig Crook

Craig and Boots came to the line at 3:36 pm

LF – Many large loops hunting, then several whistles to handle to the bird.

RF – Straight to the bird.

RR – Out to the area, one loop, moved to the left and then came back in for the bird.

LR – Came in left of the blind and hunted a little deep, but came back to find her bird.

No-Bird 86. FC OLD TOWNS ROUGH COUNTRY HAMMER DOWN QA2, “Trucker,” BLM, Bill Bailey

Bill and Trucker came to the line at 3:25 pm and had a No-Bird on the flyer

They will come back ...

Pick-Up 84. FC-AFC WOOD RIVER’S PERFECT PASS, “Lonzo,” BLM, AJ Quintero

AJ and Lonzo came to the line at 3:18 pm

LF – A few loops and then hunted up his bird.

RF – Went slightly past the bird and then came back and got it!

LR – Line was far right of the LR area, but he made a large curve left to the bird.

RR – Went deep and left – was handled – but needed to be helped to the bird


 

83. FRANKLIN’S 29 DEGREES TRUE NORTH, “Frank,” YLM, Rob Erhardt

Rob and Frank came to the line at 3:08 pm

LF – A couple loops between the guns and the bird and then he was on to his bird!

RF – Straight to the bird!

LR – Straight to the bird – a little past it, a quick turn and scooped it up!

RR – Good line with one short loop to the left and then back to his bird.


 

81. FC-AFC LAIRD’S CYNFUL SEASIDE GAMBLE, “Betty,” BLF, Chris Parkinson

Chris and Betty came to the line at 2:58 pm

LF – Out by the guns, turned left and missed it – but she came back and got it on her second pass!

RF – Had to make a few passes in the stubble but she got her bird.

LR – Perfect Mark!

RR – Up under the arc, around the blind twice and then down to her bird.


 

80. FC SWEETIE’S LITTLE DASH-A-RUE QA2, “Dash,” BLF, Alex Drent

Alex and Dash came to the line at 2:48 pm

LF – Nice!

RF – Good angle through the stubble to the bird.

LR –Came in wide left to the blind of the right retired station, down the hill and then back up – hunted under the arc hard – extended hunt and she ended up finding the Left Retired bird.

RR – Up the middle, very extended hunt before she found it!

79. TIOGA APPLE IDOG QAA, “Ti,” BLM, Edward Forry

Ed and Ti came to the line at 2:41 pm

LF – Up the hill – into the cover and right back out with the bird. He had that one figured out!

RF – He moved through the corn stubble and was on to his bird.

LR – Up to the fall, arriving near the gunners, he turned right and moved to his bird.

RR – Up by the guns, he turned right and then dropped down the hill to his bird.

78. FC-AFC GLENHOMA’S SOGGY BOTTOMS MILDRED, “Millie,” BLF, Tim Milligan

Tim and Millie came to the line at 2:32 pm

LF – Great bird for a long flyer.

RF – Crashing through the stubble – she pinned her flyer!

RR – Millie knew where her bird was! She flew through the cover and around the cover to scoop up her bird

LR – A good line to the bird – Up on top, a quick right and then she was on the bird.

Rerun 72. FC-AFC YOURS TRULY INDIGO, “Tru,” BLF, Chris Ledford

Chris and Tru came back to the line at 2:25 pm

LF – Stayed in the area and quickly got his bird.

RF – Had a short hunt and then he got it!

LR – Excellent line from the mat to her bird!

RR – Nice line into the cover and her bird!

Craig and Rush came to the line at 2:18 pm

LF – Came in right of the fall, turned left and he got it!

RF – Out behind the guns, worked across the stubble to this bird.

LR –Up the middle of the field, jumped the terrace and drove deep  – wide left and right before finding his bird.

RR – Came in under the arc, circled the blind and then down to his bird.


 

76. FC SEASIDE’S WHERE DREAMS COME TRUE, “Mickey,” BLM, Andrew Curtis

Andrew and Mickey came to the line at 2:11 pm

LF – Very nice flyer!

RF – Across the stubble and into the bird.

RR – Nice line to the area, Mickey started to pull up the hill but quickly turned and came down to his bird.

LR – Through the cover and up the hill, a little to the right and then he was on his bird!


 

Handle 75. FC CREW’S SPLINTERED TIMBER, “Timber,” BLM, Jerry Patopea

Jerry and Timber came to the line at 2:03 pm

LF – Hunted wide left but worked towards the gunners and the bird. Got it!

RF – Through the stubble and on to his bird.

RR – Nice line to the fall area but pulled up the hill for a brief hunt and then worked his way down the hill to the bird.

LR – Good initial line but ended up right and hunted deep. Handled to the bird.

Hunter and Rain came to the line at 1:34 pm

LF – 2 quick turns and she got her bird.

RF – Out to the bird – Nice job!

LR – Excellent line out – came in right of fall and missed it – went deep, turned back for her bird.

RR – Came in left of the fall – turned right and then straight to the bird.

Chris and Tru came to the line and had a No-Bird on the flyer

**Conditions Report**

It's currently 42 degrees, skies are brighter than earlier this morning, but it's still overcast skies. The wind has picked up in strength and is more northwesterly. It is definitely more of a factor in this test now. The birds being thrown into the wind are becoming more difficult to hit as well.

70. FC-AFC DOCTOR CABERNET JUST IN CASE, “Doc,” BLM, Al Arthur

Al and Doc came to the line at 1:24 pm

LF – In under the arc, Doc made a couple passes and has his bird!

RF – Nice angle across the stubble strips directly to his bird!

LR – Through the cover strips and up the hillside – he breaks through the last strip, turns left and has his bird!

RR – Beautiful mark!

 



Pick-Up 68. FC WOODLAKE’S MAINE SPICE, “Woody,” BLM, Ty Rorem

 Ty and Woody came to the line at 1:14 pm

LF – Came in on the left side, made several turns right and left and he got it!

RF –  He marked this bird perfectly - right to it!

LR – Out across the the field almost to the RR area – but he took a hard left across to the LR and stepped on the bird!

RR – Woody really wanted to go back to the LR area and would not handle – had to be picked up ...

67. FC-AFC FIREWEED’S THE KING OF COOL, “McQueen,” CBRM, Linda Harger

Linda and McQueen came to the line at 1:06 pm

LF – Excellent!

RF – Straight to his bird!

RR – Came in to cover and got his bird quickly!

LR – Out on a left line – turned right at the blind for a deep loop and then back in to grab his bird.


 

Pick-Up Rerun 60. FC SDK’S MODERATION IS FOR COWARDS, “Kikr,” BLM, Jim Beck

Jim and Kikr came to the line at 1:00 pm

LF – Nice Bird!

RF –  Down the strip of stubble behind the gunners ... dog had to be picked-up.



Pick-Up 66. FC-AFC TAMARACK’S LONG RIDER, “Cole,” BLM, David Furin

David and Cole came to the line at 12:41 pm

LF – Good Mark!

RF –  Worked the strip of stubbly corn in front of the gunners and then working behind the gunners ..he had to be picked up.


 


64. FC SEASIDE’S LL COOL J, JR, “Cool J,” BLM, Craig Crook

Craig and Cool J came to the line at 12:49 pm

LF – Nice quick hunt.

RF – Straight to his bird!

RR – Hunted short and between the flyer and RR stations, but he worked it out and got his bird.

LR – Went out very wide right – to the top of the hill and took a hard left and then went straight to it!


 

63. FC-AFC BOO’S STRAIGHT LINE IS GOOD IDEA, “Torq,” BLM, Isaac Langerud

Isaac and Torq came to the line at 12:40 am

LF – Nice Quick Retrieve!

RF – Very nice rung through the corn stubble and to his bird.

LR – Straight to the fall area and his bird!

RR – So nice! Well done!


 

Pick-Up 62. FC-AFC CAJUN NIGHTMARES ROUGAROUX, “Boo,” BLF, JD Babb

JD and Boo came to the line at 12:28 pm

LF – In front of the guns turned right and back for a big loop left and then right, had to handle as he started heading for the left retired bird.

RF – Came down the left side deep of the guns, worked across the field to get his bird.

RR – Out to the right side, went very deep and out of sight – Dog was picked up.


61. FC-AFC BEAVER RUNS ZIG ZAG ZEKE, “Zeke,” BLM, Bert Windham

Bert and Zeke came to the line at 12:19 pm

LF – A few turns and he got it!

RF – Way out to a long bird. Nice job!

LR – Perfect line all the way!

RR – Missed this one just to the right – circled around and came back for a quick turn and then came down for his bird.

Luann and Willie came to the line at 12:06 pm

LF – Straight to the bird! (it was a short flyer)

RF – Straight to the bird again!

LR – Line out to the right and made a couple loops deeper and then back in for the bird.

RR – Right line out and hunted behind for several loops – then left and right and around and he found his bird.

59. FC-AFC CK’S TOPEND STARWARS, “Luke,” BLM, Hunter Street

Hunter and Luke came to the line at 11:56 am

LF – A few loops and he was on his bird.

RF – Good line out to this bird!

LR – Lined out under the arc, very close to the bird, but he hunted deep and left and then came back to the bird.

RR – Good line and one loop past the bird, but he worked it out and got it!

58. FC BLACK SHAMROCK’S WOODY, “Wood,” BLM, Al Arthur

Al and Wood came to the line at 11:46 am

LF – Nice Job!

RF –  Out to the guns – cut across to the bird!

RR – Straight out to the blind – 1 circle deep and left then into the fall area and his bird.

LR – Split between blinds – kept going deep – all the way to the trees, but he worked his way back and found his bird.


 

56. FC-AFC BAYOU-STAR ALL JAZZED UP, “Ella,” BLF, Suzan Caire

Suzan and Ella came to the line at 11:35 am

LF – Out towards the bird – made 1 turn left and then back to the fall area – a few turns and she got it!

RF – 1 turn short and then out towards the guns – moved out farther toward the bird and she quickly got it!

RR – Across the middle of the field – between the 2 gun stations – 1 turn left and then back right and she was on her bird.

LR – Came in wide left, got deep – hunted a little and the quickly back for the bird.


 

55. FC-AFC FLAWLESS EXECUTION - FLEX, “Flex,” BLM, Johnny Armstrong

Johnny and Flex came to the line at 11:30 am

LF – A couple loops under the arc and then on to his bird.

RF – Straight to it!

LR – Curved in front the right and went straight to the bird!

RR – Line to the right and then curved back in behind the cover and around to the front with one loop to find his bird.


 

Handle 54. FC OUTBACK’S RISING STAR, “Champ,” BLM, Steve Yozamp

Steve and Champ came to the line at 11:21 am

LF – Line took Champ under the arc, took a few loops in the area and got his bird.

RF –  Short tight hunt to the bird.

RR – Right to the area and to his bird.

LR – A few loops deep and then he had to be handled to this bird.

Luann and Willie came to the line at 11:18 am and had a No-Bird on the flyer

Kylie and Ouuks came to the line at 11:10 am

LF – Enters the area under the arc, makes a right turn and then quickly goes back left to find his bird.

RF – Nice angle through the stubble for an excellent mark.

RR – I think this one called him by name! Perfect line and right on the bird!

LR – Nice line to the area – just missed the bird and ran deep – set up a hunt pattern and began to expand left – had to be handled into the bird.


 

No-Bird Rerun 36. FC-AFC BAYOU TECHE EXPRESS, “Ryan,” BLF, Lauren Hays

Lauren and Ryan came back to the line and had a 3rd no-bird on the Left Flyer ....

LF – Ryan went out and had an extended hunt – the left flyer bird wasn't right

Lauren will come back at the end and get a Rerun



 

51. FC-AFC A RIVERS BREEZE BRINGS US FAITH, “Faith,” BLF, AJ Quintero

AJ and Faith came to the line at 11:01 am

LF – A Couple loops under the arc and she got her bird.

RR – Popped and was handled to this bird.

LR – Good line, slight curve to the bird.

RF – Straight to it!



 

50. FC BLACK LAGER ELEVEN, “Lager,” BLM, Jerry Patopea

Jerry and Lager came to the line at 10:40 am

LF – Lager set up a controlled hunt staying committed to the area and he got his bird.

RF – He ran down the left side of the outer strip of corn stubble – hunted the area and expanded his hunt right to work his way to the bird.

RR – He runs through the cover and down the field for a beautiful job, right to the bird.

LR – Nice line! Punching through each strip of cover to nearly step on his bird!


 

49. FC-AFC BAYOU TECHE PAINT THE BLACK, “Madduxx,” BLM, Craig Crook

Craig and Madduxx came to the line at 10:21 am

LF – Nice recovery of his flyer!

RF – Angled through the strips of corn stubble and clear strips of grass, he quickly grabs his bird.

RR – Nice line to the area – a quick loop up the hill and he drives back down to find his bird.

LR – Great drive through the cover and up the hill to just about STEP on his bird!

48. FC-AFC COOLWATER’S BELIEVE IT OR NOT, “Ripley,” YLM, Alex Washburn

Alex and Ripley came to the line at 10:11 am

LF – A couple of passes deep and he was back in for the bird.

RF – Terrific recovery of this bird!

LR – Very nice line! Right in on the bird!

RR – Out deep right, a couple loops and he drove left to recover his bird!


 

47. FC MEADOW WOODS WHISPERING WILLOW, “Willow,” YLF, Danny Farmer

Danny and Willow came to the line at 10:04 am

LF – Terrific Mark!

RF – Get out of the way! This girl knows exactly where she it going! Nice Job.

LR – Another well marked bird!

RR – She climbed the hill and came in high to drop in and scoop up her bird quickly!



 

46. FC TUCQUAN’S TAKIN’ THE RYSK, “Rysk,” BLM, Hunter Street

Hunter and Rysk came to the line at 9:56 am

LF – Hunted left and right in the area and he got it!

RF – Perfect!

LR – Smacked it!

RR – Under the arc for a loop back right to the bird!


 

45. FC-AFC RIVERWATCH GETS A LIMIT, “Limit,” BLM, Mark Medford

Mark and Limit came to the line at 9:48 am

LF – Area hunt and he got it.

RF – Straight to it!

LR – Straight to the fall area, turned right and got his bird.

RR – Came in just left of the blind, a quick move right and he had it!

 



44. FC-AFC SILVERTIP SECRET WEAPON, “Lazer,” BLM, Rob Erhardt

Rob and Lazer came to the line at 9:37 am

LF – He had a brief look and then he was on the bird.

RF – Lazer hunted the stubble and then expanded his hunt behind the gunners – back to the stubble and he has his flyer, which had landed a bit short.

RR – Didn't lose his mark on this one! He remembered it well and recovered the bird nicely!

LR – Very nice job!


 

41. FC-AFC LOUISIANA BLACK MAGIC SPELL, “Hex,” BLM, Tim Milligan

Tim and Hex came to the line at 9:29 am

LF – Great Line to the bird!

RF – Quick recovery of this bird.

RR – Beautiful line out to the mark!

LR – Picture Perfect – great job!


 

40. FC-AFC FREERIDIN RIKKI TIKKI TAVI, “Tavi,” BLF, Marcy Wright

Marcy and Tavi came to the line at 9:20 am

LF – Big hunt – but she got it!

RF – Direct line to the bird – Nice!

RR – Dug straight into cover for her bird!

LR – Excellent mark!


 

Handle Rerun 37. FC-AFC BLACK LABS MATTER II, “Brody,” BLM, John Schneider

John and Brody came back to the line at 9:09 am

LF – Nice line, straight to it!

RF – Straight to his bird!

RR – Direct line through the cover to his bird!

LR – Got up between the two blinds, deep and then right and left – headed back to the flyer area and had to handle back to his bird for this one.

 


 

No-Bird Rerun 36. FC-AFC BAYOU TECHE EXPRESS, “Ryan,” BLF, Lauren Hays

Lauren and Ryan came back to the line at 9:06 am to Rerun and had a 2nd No-Bird on the flyer

They will come back after 5 dogs 

Handle Rerun 35. H FORD 11, “Deuce,” BLM, Alex Drent

Alex and Deuce came back to the line at 8:57 am

LF – Straight to his bird!

RF – Smacked it! Perfect Line!

RR – Hunted hard and tight under the arc – moved over and got his bird.

LR – Up between marks, he hunted deep – got down by the RR fall area and was handled back – and he got it!

 



39. FC CAMELOT’S ON THE EDGE OF SIN, “Brook,” BLF, Edward Forry

Ed and Brook came to the line at 8:48 am

LF – Smart hunt to recover her bird.

RF – Brook got out to the area – worked a couple of passes in the first strip of stubble and then worked over to the next strip of stubble to locate her bird.

LR – Hunted deep with a few passes – worked her way towards the bird and she got it!

RR – She went back out looking for her next assignment ... steam blowing as she pants ready to go! She had a good line to the area and then she got deep for a moment, corrected herself and was back into the bird.


 

Rerun 32. FC-AFC FIELD OF DREAMS WHATS ALL THE BUZZ ABOUT, “Buzz,” BLM, Craig Cook

Craig and Buzz came to the line at 8:40 am

LF – Very Nice Line!

RM – One turn right of the fall and then back left to get his bird.

RF – Straight to the cover and the bird!

LM – Out just right fo the bird – he got deep but quickly worked his way back and got his bird.

 



38. FC TOP GUN OAKLEY’S INZAYNITY, “Zayne,” BLM, Ty Rorem

Ty and Zayne came to the line at 8:30 am – Zayne is focused and has steam coming out as he pants in excitement on line!

LF – Crouching down and ready to go! Out to the area in a good hunt pattern and he locates his bird.

RF – Directly to his bird!

RR – A laser line directly to his bird!

LR – Ty gives him time to settle back in and then sends him back out – he does a little loop right but makes a quick correction to the left and he is on his bird.

John and Brody came to the line at 8:27 am and had a No-Bird on the flyer

LF – Big flyer – hunted deep and right of the guns away from the fall area – had an extended hunt – needed to be handled to his bird.

RF – Smack!

RR – Up the field between the two retired stations – looped deep and right, into the cover and his bird.

LR –  Up the field between stations and deep – needed to be handled to this bird.

Craig and Buzz came to the line at 8:06 am and had a No-Bird on the flyer
