Tests 1 & 2 – Land Double and Land Blind
These two series will be a Land Double with Rooster Pheasants followed by a Land Blind.
The mat is on a mound facing south to a cut field manicured with strips of cover and 3 hay bales, one in each direction of each bird. A line of cover is just off the line.
Bird #1 is a dead bird thrown to the left about 130 yards from the mat. The line runs through a large strip of cover. (We refer to this mark as SR for Short Retired)
Bird #2 is a Flyer station at 210 yards thrown to the left. The line to this bird is through a patch of cover and a few strips of cover. Additionally the dog should go to the right of a hay bale 3/4 of the way out. The bird is in front of a cedar tree and under a large tree drip line. (We will refer to this mark as F for Flyer)
After the dogs run the marks, they run the blind. There is heavy cover past the blind where the dog could be lost. (We will refer to this mark as B for Blind)
The two combined tests are taking approximately 5 minutes per dog.
